Curriculum

At Measham Primary School, our curriculum aims have been designed to support both academic achievement and personal development, preparing our children well for the next stage of their education and beyond. We strive to provide an engaging, relevant and broad curriculum that equips our children with the knowledge, skills and personal qualities necessary to lead a fulfilling and rewarding life. This is under-pinned by our vision to be school ‘Where happy children flourish’ and our values of thankfulness, hope, love, peace, forgiveness and respect.

We aim for our children to become:

  • Responsible Citizens who aim to inspire others and make a positive contribution to society
  • Successful Learners who enjoy learning, make progress and achieve
  • Confident Individuals who are able to live safehealthy and fulfilling lives

Our curriculum is designed to be accessible for all in line with our duties in the Equality Act 2010 and the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Regulations 2014. We support and scaffold learning to ensure all pupils access a full and varied curriculum which is built around the objectives set out in the EYFS Framework, the National Curriculum for all subjects in Years 1 to 6 and the Locally Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education.
